Fail your Way to Success!

One of the main reasons people don’t follow through on making their dreams happen is fear of failure. We all want to succeed, but what we don’t all realize is that failure is a key component of success. Failing builds character. Failing shows you what you did wrong. Learn from your mistakes, take notes and try again. Fail your way to success!

Fail Often

When you learn a new skill, you won’t master it right off the bat. Think of the last time you tried a new sport. The pros make it look so easy, like all you have to do is get up, grab your equipment and play – until you try it and fail horribly. Over time, your failures will become less and less epic until finally, you are able to play. Have you ever taken a stab at being a YouTube creator? If you have, then you will probably agree that your first several videos were pretty bad. But through that failure, you improved.

There is actually scientific research which supports the idea that you can fail your way to success. The 85% rule states that your best learning happens when you are only correct 85% of the time. That means we learn best when our successes are interspersed with failure.

Now, failing often doesn’t necessarily mean that you should go looking for failure, but that you should expect it and that you should be prepared to learn from it. That being said, You should strive to always learn something new. If you fail, so what – you are learning!
